This screening does not substitute for a regular on-going relationship with a primary care physician, who is attuned to your medical history and any changes in health status. No screening can identify 100% of the individuals at risk for a sudden cardiac event. We encourage you to continue to have yearly physicals, and discuss any concerns or changes in your heart health with your primary physician immediately. Use our cardiac risk assessment form to monitor warning signs, symptoms and risk factors of an underlying heart condition. International guidelines recommend a heart screening every two years through age 25.
Participants receive a Results sheet at the screening that provides follow-up direction as needed with your primary care physician. Following the screening, participants can request a copy of their EKG here. EKG records are retained for one year. If the participant receives an echocardiogram, outcomes are recorded on the Results sheet but the echo report is not retained.
