Take Our Free SCA Prevention Training

California law mandates Sudden Cardiac Arrest Prevention training for school and community youth sports coaches, officials and administrators. This free training will:

• take just 20 minutes
• provide you with a downloadable certificate you can use as proof of compliance
• allow you to log back in to return to the training as often as needed (so register now!)
• help prepare you to protect your young hearts from the #1 killer of young athletes

Please share this training with your sports organization so everyone can be in compliance with state law.

Note to League Administrators: If you assign the team members taking this training an Organization Code, you can reach out to executivedirector@epsavealife.org with that code for a report of who has taken the training versus requiring all team members to submit their downloadable certificate to you. Team members new to the training can add the code as they set up their account below. Team members with an existing account can log in and click the link to “update their organization code” so we can generate a full report for you using that code. A downloadable certificate will still be available to individuals as proof they took the training.

Note: taking this training on your phone vs. laptop device may restrict functionality, for example, you likely will not be able to download the certificate on your phone.

• Coach fact sheets about new remove/return to play protocol for athletes who faint
• Parent/athlete SCA facts sheets that must be signed prior to participation (like concussion forms)
• Youth sports teams must have a cardiac emergency response plan with access to an automated external defibrillator (AED)
