Keep Their Heart In the Game AED Loaner Application
Keep Their Heart in the Game loaned AEDs are subject to availability via an application process to those who apply no later than two weeks before the desired start date. Once your application has been accepted you’ll be notified via email to process the Agreement.
Through the Agreement, the Borrower will agree to the following. If this is acceptable, scroll down to complete the application.
Borrower must:
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Be CPR/AED certified
- $250 security deposit hold
- Understand that the AEDs are on loan and must be returned by the agreed date
- Not take the AED or associated materials outside of San Diego County
- Maintain the AED according to manufacturer’s guidelines
- When not using in conjunction with an athletic event, keep the AED charged and connected to WiFi so that it can be digitally tracked and safety self-checked
- Assume full responsibility for any risk arising out of or related to the use of the borrowed AED/s;
- Participate in the Program’s orientation and implementation of a cardiac emergency response plan within their organization, which includes:
- Learning to properly maintain and make the AED/s accessible (not locked away) with notification that anyone can use the AED in a cardiac emergency
- Leadership training for administration and coaching staff to incorporate a cardiac emergency response plan (CERP) into the organization’s emergency action plan
- Orientating parents and players to the CERP with distribution of information about sudden cardiac arrest
- Performing a cardiac emergency response drill for each team
