Screen Your Teen

Take a Cardiac Risk Assessment

Have a Cardiac Emergency Response Plan

Prescription for Prevention
Studies show young hearts are an often overlooked area of assessment, with practitioners, parents and patients largely unfamiliar with warning signs and risk factors that put youth at risk for Sudden Cardiac Arrest. The Eric Paredes Save A Life and the Smart Heart Coalition are hosting a giveaway at NWSL Championship Game FanFest.
Entrants have the chance to win either a San Diego Wave signed jersey or an Avive Connect AED™ (automated external defibrillator) for use in their home or on their team.
Two winners will be selected at random and notified by email and text. If winners do not respond within 24 hours of notification they forfeit their entry and another winner will be selected.
There is no cost to enter but each entrant must visit the Smart Heart Coalition booth at FanFest and participate in its activities.
If the winner/s does not take possession of the jersey or AED at FanFest, the item will be mailed to them. Contact information for the AED winner will be provided to AVIVE Solutions to onboard the AED directly with the winner to assure proper usage and documentation. The AED winner (or team the AED is gifted to) must register the AED with Avive and will be responsible for maintaining the AED as per manufacturers guidelines and any associated costs, which includes the scheduled replacement of AED pads. Additional AED accessories (including rugged carry case, wall mount or cabinet, signage and ready kit) can be purchased at the owner’s expense.
